Learn French with a highly qualified, experienced and friendly tutor
 

Whether teaching Academic, Business, Holiday  or Conversation French, Sharon's skills are evident in the progress her students make. She adapts lessons to the individual needs of each learner and creates a learning experience which quickly boosts her students' confidence.  Sharon has been teaching French for over 15 years but stays up-to-date with the latest language learning and teaching research and best practice.

French Language Programmes

GSCE / iGCSE French 

Sharon teaches to the specification of each GCSE / iGCSE exam board, using up-to-date exam board specific materials, which she supplements with current and authentic texts and other resources. Sharon supports students to reach their full potential and in all four skills of speaking, listening, writing and reading and in all themes covered in the syllabus. 



A Level French 
Sharon teaches to the specification of each A Level exam board, using up-to-date exam board specific materials, which she supplements with current and authentic texts and other resources. Sharon supports students to reach their full potential and in all four skills of speaking, listening, writing and reading and in all themes covered in the syllabus.



Home Educated and Private Candidates

Sharon teaches the full course syllabus for GCSEs, iGCSEs and A levels and often acts as invigilator for Speaking Exams at exam centres, schools and colleges which accept external candidates.

French as a Foreign Language (DELF)

Sharon teaches the full syllabus for the Diplôme d'études en langue française (DELF), a  certification of French language abilities for non-native speakers of French, which is administered by the International Centre for French Studies (Centre international d'études pédagogiques or CIEP) for France's Ministry of Education.



Business French

Sharon designs Business French courses for the needs of businesses and individuals. Whether for specific events or in preparation for working in the Francophone world, Sharon will focus on the language and skills necessary for the success of her students.

 

Conversational and Holiday French

Sharon teaches the language necessary for useful and authentic communication in French, whether to socialise generally, to get by whilst holidaying in a French speaking country or to discuss topics of particular interest to the student, including  Francophone culture and current affairs.
